OUR WORK

Our Spacious Skies includes a multi-phased effort to tap into the collective wisdom of the diverse geographic, socioeconomic and cultural communities across El Paso and Teller Counties. It will empower them to identify what they value about the Pikes Peak Region. That scientifically derived data will form the foundation for a comprehensive suite of data-driven tools to guide future decision-making and planning.

Work has recently been completed to conduct an extensive, scientifically based research study across El Paso and Teller Counties. Innovative, but proven, and statistically sound methods (4.5% margin of error) was used to ensure diverse representation.

Right now, to ensure our neighbors’ priorities and values are being addressed, Our Spacious Skies is developing tools aimed at measuring progress, identifying blind spots, and cataloguing the organizations working on the priorities that our residents say are most important.

Data will be refreshed every few years to ensure the data remain current and relevant.
